NSW Companion Animals Register
This is the web site for animals registered under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998. Under this Act, cats and dogs are required to be microchipped and lifetime registered.

Access to the Register is available only to persons authorised under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998. Persons authorised to access the register include authorised council staff and authorised identifiers.
If you have a query about your animal and its listing on the Register please contact your local council. Contact information for councils can be obtained from the Local Government Directory.
All authorised persons are provided with a username and password to access the Register. If you have a query about how to become an authorised person please contact the Office of Local Government at pets@dlg.nsw.gov.au.
Please note that authorised persons must use Internet Explorer V5.0 or above. The Register cannot be accessed using Netscape.
